Applications are invited for the position of Research Administrator for the PHIRST-LIGHT research collaboration. The Public Health Intervention Responsive Studies Team, Lincoln, Loughborough, Nottingham (PHIRST-LIGHT) is funded by the NIHR and is a collaboration between the University of Nottingham, Loughborough University and the University of Lincoln. The PHIRST-LIGHT team work with local governments across the UK to help them evaluate their public health programmes, improving how well the interventions work alongside increasing the evidence base for the work local governments do.
You will work across a range of research activities to provide administrative support in order for the projects to run to time and budget. You will be based at the University of Nottingham but will liaise with the wider team at the University of Lincoln and Loughborough University, providing support to academic and research staff across the collaboration. A significant portion of this role will involve supporting local patient and public involvement groups and workshops.
You will be enthusiastic and pro-active, have excellent IT skills, and experience of online working using Microsoft Office, as well as outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels. We will need you to be an effective team player who is experienced in planning your own work activities in response to differing priorities with the ability to work independently.
This position is offered on a fixed term contract until 01 May 2026. Hours of work are part time (14.5 hours per week) following a standard working pattern.
